  • Account preferences and settings

  • App usage statistics (features used, time spent, actions taken)

  • Progress data (skill ratings and analysis history)

Advertising & Tracking Data

Subject to your device permissions/settings and applicable law, we may collect:

  • Advertising identifier (IDFA on iOS, GAID on Android)
  • App install source and attribution data
  • In-app conversion events (e.g. subscription started, onboarding completed)
  • Subscription and purchase metadata
  • Account-linked identifiers we may share with certain advertising partners for attribution and event matching, such as your internal app user/account ID and, for TikTok on iOS, your email address during login or registration flows

This data is used solely to measure the effectiveness of our advertising campaigns. You can withdraw consent at any time in your device's privacy settings.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use collected information to:

  • Provide AI Analysis: Process your videos with third-party AI providers to generate technique feedback
  • Personalize Experience: Customize training recommendations based on your profile and goals
  • Track Progress: Monitor your skill development and display analytics
  • Improve Services: Enhance our AI models and app features using anonymized data
  • Communication: Send important updates, notifications, and support responses
  • Security: Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and technical issues
  • Advertising Measurement: Measure campaign performance and attribution, subject to your device permissions/settings and applicable law

3. Third-Party Services

VolleyVision integrates with the following third-party services:

AI Processing Providers

Your videos and coach-chat messages are processed by third-party AI providers to generate analysis and coaching feedback. Depending on availability, this may be Google's Gemini API or other AI model providers accessed through the OpenRouter platform. Content is transmitted securely, processed in real time to generate your results, and is not retained by us on our servers. Processing is subject to the respective provider's terms and privacy policy.

Supabase

We use Supabase for:

  • User authentication and account management
  • Database storage of user profiles and subscription status

PostHog

We use PostHog to collect anonymized in-app usage analytics (screens viewed, features used) to help us improve the app. This data is not used for advertising.

Superwall

We use Superwall to manage subscription offers and paywalls. Superwall receives your app user ID and subscription/purchase events to present offers and measure their performance.

AppsFlyer

We use AppsFlyer for install attribution — understanding which marketing campaign or referral link led you to download the app. AppsFlyer may collect device identifiers and install/conversion events, subject to your device permissions/settings. Data is processed in accordance with AppsFlyer's Privacy Policy.

Apple Sign-In / Google Sign-In

We use Apple and Google's authentication services to securely sign you in. These services may collect data according to their respective privacy policies.

Meta (Facebook) SDK

We use the Meta SDK to measure the effectiveness of our Facebook and Instagram advertising campaigns. This may collect device identifiers and in-app conversion events (such as subscription started) to attribute installs to ad campaigns. Data is processed in accordance with Meta's Privacy Policy. You can opt out via your device's privacy settings (iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking).

Google Analytics for Firebase

We use Google Analytics for Firebase to measure in-app conversion events for our Google Ads campaigns. This may collect device identifiers and anonymized usage events. Data is processed in accordance with Google's Privacy Policy.

TikTok App Events SDK (iOS)

On iOS, we may use TikTok App Events SDK to send app event data directly from the app to TikTok for attribution and campaign measurement. This may include events such as app launches, logins, onboarding completion, paywall views, trials, subscriptions, and purchases. During login or registration flows, we may also provide TikTok with account-linked identifiers such as your internal app user/account ID and email address for attribution and event matching. TikTok may also collect device identifiers and other SDK-level attribution data, subject to your device permissions/settings. Data is processed in accordance with TikTok's Privacy Policy.

4. Data Storage and Security

We implement security measures to protect your information:

  • Videos and data are stored in secure cloud infrastructure
  • Connections are encrypted using industry-standard protocols (HTTPS/TLS)
  • Access to personal data is restricted to authorized personnel only
  • Regular security audits and updates

However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of your data.

5. Data Retention

  • Account and profile data is retained while your account is active
  • Videos are processed in real time for analysis and are not stored on our servers; your videos and analysis history remain on your device and are removed when you delete them or uninstall the app
  • Anonymized usage data may be retained indefinitely for analytics
  • You can delete your account at any time from the app's Settings screen, or request deletion by contacting us

6. Your Privacy Rights

  • Access: Request a copy of your personal data
  • Correction: Update or correct inaccurate information
  • Deletion: Request deletion of your account and associated data
